Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru has extended the last date to register for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024). Now candidates can apply without a late fee till 5th October. If you apply after this date, you will have to pay a late fee along with registration.
GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) is hosting the Registration Link 2024 – goaps.iisc.ac.in. IISc Bengaluru said more than 1.37 lakh applications were received yesterday for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024). In view of this, the registration date was extended.
Get admission in PG and Doctoral programs
Candidates who want to pursue postgraduate (PG) and direct doctoral programs in IITs and IISc have to appear for the GATE exam. Recruitment in many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) is also done through the GATE score.
Apply with a late fee till 13th October
The last date to apply for GATE 2024 was September 29 and the last date to apply with late fees is October 13. However, as per the latest announcement, now candidates can apply with a regular fee till 5th October.
Candidates should not wait for the last date.
IISc said the late fee will be applicable after October 5, 2023. Please, candidates, do not wait till the last date, they should apply immediately by visiting the official website – https://goaps.iisc.ac.in.
The number of applicants has increased
The GATE exam 2024 will be conducted on February 3, 4, 10, and 11 for 30 test papers in engineering, science, architecture, and humanities. On September 21, IISc announced that GATE 2024 received about 25% more applications than last year.
