This year, Ganesh Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month is on 19 September 2023. Ganesh Chaturthi is starting from this day itself. It will end on 28 September 2023, on the day of Anant Chaturthi. On this day the idol of Bappa is immersed.

Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month is starting from 12.39 pm on 18th September. It will end on September 19 at 01:43 pm.

Importance of Ganesh Utsav
Ganesh ji is the god of wisdom and auspiciousness, wherever Bappa resides there is happiness and prosperity all the time. It is believed that the person who worships Lord Ganesha at home during Ganesh Utsav and worships him with a true heart brings happiness in his life.

Ganesh Chaturthi puja method
Before installing Ganpati on Ganesh Chaturthi, clean the place of worship thoroughly.
Then spread a yellow or red cloth on the puja platform and install Ganpati Bappa on the platform.
Now sprinkle Ganga water from Durva on Lord Ganesha. Offer them turmeric, rice, sandalwood, rose, vermillion, Mauli, durva, sacred thread, sweets, modak, fruits, garland and flowers.
Now worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati along with Ganpati Bappa. Then offer laddu or modak and perform aarti.
Similarly, do puja and aarti every morning and evening for 10 days.
