If you feel tired despite sleeping for 7 to 8 hours at night, then it is not a sign of good health at all. How much energy will remain in our body throughout the day depends on what regular diet we are taking. There are many vitamins and minerals which boost metabolism in the body and work to increase energy. When any nutrient is deficient in the body, it negatively impacts health. Ayushi Yadav, former dietician of GIMS Hospital, Greater Noida, said that the reason for fatigue could be the lack of certain nutrients.

Lack of these nutrients can be the cause of fatigue
1. Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 is essential for energy production and the health of red blood cells. If this nutrient is deficient in the body, there may be complaints of fatigue and weakness. To overcome this problem, you should eat meat, fish, eggs, and milk products.

2. Vitamin D
Vitamin D plays an important role in energy production and muscle function. Deficiency of this nutrient can cause fatigue and muscle weakness. You can overcome vitamin D deficiency by spending time in the sun, eating fatty foods like salmon and mackerel, and fortified foods.

3. Iron
Iron is responsible for carrying oxygen into the cells of the body. Anemia, a disease caused by its deficiency, can cause fatigue. To overcome this, consume iron rich food items like red meat, beans, lentils, spinach, and fortified cereals.

4. Vitamin C
Vitamin C helps a lot in the absorption of iron and also plays an important role in energy production. If this nutrient is deficient then it is common to feel tired and weak. To avoid this, you should eat citrus fruits, strawberries, kiwi, capsicum, and leafy greens.
