Martand Temple

The Martand Sun Temple was built during the 8th century and is a Kashmiri Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Surya. It was built by LalidadityaMuktapida, the third ruler of the Karkota dynasty. Earlier this entire temple was supported by 84 pillars, which offered a wonderful view of the Kashmir Valley.

However, the temple was destroyed in the 15th century on the orders of some rulers. The Kashmiri architecture crafted in this temple was highly appreciated. Even today this temple is known for its architecture. If you have not explored this temple, then definitely go once and try it.

Vaishno Devi Temple

Talking about the temples of Kashmir, it cannot happen without taking the name of Vaishno Devi temple. Vaishno Devi Temple is a Hindu temple located in Katra in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is believed that Goddess Vaishno fulfils the wishes of her devotees. That's why lakhs of devotees come to this holy place. This temple is open for darshan round the clock and throughout the year.

Here there are long queues of devotees for the darshan of Mata Rani. The atmosphere of this auspicious place is usually filled with the chanting of Mother and songs of Mother Vaishnavi. Every year lakhs of people visit this place and trek for about 13 km to reach the cave of the Goddess.

Raghunath Temple

Located in the state of Kashmir, this temple is famous not only in India but all over the world. Dedicated to Lord Rama, this temple was built by Maharaja Gulab Singh and later completed by Maharaja Ranbir Singh.

The interior of this temple is well crafted by gold-plated shikhara, art and paintings related to Lord Rama and Krishna. The temple has a sun symbol at its entrance and also houses a library. This temple consists of seven Hindu shrines with seven wonderful shikhara.

Kheer Bhavani Temple

Kheer Bhawani Temple is located near Tul-Mul village of Kashmir where most Hindu followers come. Here the devotees offer Kheer Bhavani of rice and milk to Kheer Bhavani, a symbol of worship and faith. This temple was built over a spring inside which a small marble is present.

People in this temple celebrate an annual festival on the eighth day of the full moon in May or June. People also believe that the colour of spring changes according to the incarnations of the Goddess. The view here is so beautiful that you will love it.
