How to change your personal information in EPF online?

It is very easy to change your details in the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) account online. Here's how to do it:

Open UAN portal of EPFO:

First of all, visit the UAN portal of EPFO, then click on the link https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/.

Follow these steps to log in to your account:

  • Here, first of all log in to the unified portal using your UAN number and password.
  • If you do not know your UAN number, you can get it from your employer. Where you are working or have worked.
  • Now enter UAN, password and captcha code. Then click on Sign in.
  • As soon as you sign in, you will see the option of "Manage", and Modify Basic Details on the home screen of the website.
  • After logging in, click on the "Manage" tab and click on "Contact Details".

  • Now after clicking, you will get the option to update or modify.
  • You can update the name, number and address given on your Aadhar card.
  • Here the details already registered on your Aadhar card will be visible.
  • Finally, after filling in all the required details correctly, you can complete the process by clicking on Update.
  • After the form is completed, a confirmation request will be sent to your employer.

Select the information you want to change:

You can change your mobile number, email address or other contact details. Click the "Edit" button next to the information you want to change. All new information can be easily updated. For this, an OTP will be sent to your mobile number. Enter OTP and can "Verify".

Things to keep in mind before updating:

  1. If you are changing your mobile number, make sure that your new mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar.
  2. If you are changing your email, ensure that your new email is linked to your Aadhaar, as OTP will be sent to verify your registered mail.
  3. You can change your details in your PF account online only. For this, you will not need to go to the EPFO ​​office or cyber café.
  4. If you face any difficulty in completing the online process, you can call EPFO's toll-free number 1800118005 between 9:15 AM and 5:45 PM all seven days of the week.
