Diwali is celebrated on the new moon day of Kartik month. This year, the Amavasya date of Kartik month is starting from 2:44 pm on 12th November 2023. It will end the next day Monday, November 13, 2023, at 2:56 pm. In the Hindu religion, festivals, and festivals are celebrated on the basis of Udaya Tithi, but it is auspicious to perform Lakshmi Puja at night during Pradosh Kaal on the day of Diwali, hence Diwali will be celebrated on 12 November 2023.

Auspicious time for worship on Diwali 2023

Lakshmi-Ganesh worship method on Diwali
Lakshmi-Ganesh is worshiped ritually during the auspicious time on Diwali.
On this day, first of all start the puja by applying Tilak on the Kalash.
After this, take flowers and rice in your hand and meditate on Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha.
After meditation, offer flowers and Akshat to the idols of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi.
Then lift both the idols from the post place them on a plate and bathe them with a mixture of milk, curd, honey, basil, and Ganga water.
After this, bathe with clean water and return to the post.
After taking a bath, apply tilak to the idol of Lakshmi-Ganesh. Wear necklaces to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha.
After this, keep sweets, fruits, money and gold jewelery in front of Lakshmi Ganesh ji.
Then the whole family listen to the story of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi and then performs the Aarti of Goddess Lakshmi.
