Due to wrong eating habits and irregular lifestyle, many types of diseases related to the liver start occurring, out of which the problem of fatty liver has become quite common nowadays. In fatty liver, excess fat accumulates in the liver. Fatty liver is also of two types. One, in which this problem occurs due to taking alcohol whereas, the other is non-alcoholic fatty liver. Make these changes in diet and lifestyle

  • Avoid alcohol completely if you have fatty liver. If you also take alcohol in fatty liver, then the problem will increase further.
  • Eliminate processed foods from your diet. Don't eat chips, bread, flour products, or any other highly-processed food that has been completely stripped of its fibre.

  • Take care of the amount of salt and sugar in the food. Do not eat foods with a lot of salt or sugar.
  • Leave unhealthy fats and fried things at all. Healthy fats can be included in the diet. Instead of butter and oil, use olive oil.
  • Eat fibre-rich Foods. Make sure to include fruits and vegetables in the diet.

  • The liver has the power to heal itself. But for this a change in lifestyle and diet is necessary.
  • Reduce weight. Eat low-calorie foods.
  • Try counting calories for the day.
  • Maintain a food journal.
  • Do exercise. Physical activity is very important for weight loss.
  • Drink more water. Keep the body hydrated.
  • If there is no time to go to the gym or exercise, then take a brisk walk for at least 25 minutes.
  • Make sure to get regular checkups done by the doctor in between, because many times there are no symptoms of fatty liver in the beginning.
  • People who have problems with BP or sugar are at a higher risk of fatty liver.
  • Get enough sleep. Lack of sleep also affects health.
  • Don't take the stress. Do yoga and meditation to relieve stress.
