Red Fort
The Red Fort of Delhi is famous all over the world. Earlier this fort was white, later it became red. The real name of Red Fort is 'Qila-e-Mubarak'. The Red Fort was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. When the capital was to be shifted from Agra to Delhi when the Red Fort was built here. The British call it Red Fort. Old Fort
Old Fort is near Delhi Zoo. The old fort was built by Shehshah Suri. Later, the Mughal emperor Humayun used to live here. Humayun also died by slipping from the stairs of an ancient building of this fort. The ticket for the old fort is 25 rupees and if you want to see the museum also then you have to take a ticket for 30 rupees. Talaki Darwaza, Bada Darwaza, Shehshah's Mosque, and Sher Mandal are situated inside the fort.
Humayun's Tomb
Humayun's wife Haji Begum got this building built after the death of the Mughal emperor. Humayun's tomb is made of confluence of red stone and marble. Along with Humayun, the tomb of some other Mughal members has also been built here. Here the high stony stairs, and the artistic doors give the best display of antiquity.
Qutub Minar
The name of Qutub Minar is included in the famous tourist places of Delhi. Qutub Minar is one of the tallest minarets in the country. This is a five-story building, in which a wonderful view of Indian architecture is seen. The ticket to Qutub Minar is around 30 rupees.
