There is no compulsion of any kind of caste or religion by the MP government. Under the mass marriage scheme, Rs 49000 is sent to the daughter's account. Delhi government gives 30 thousand
Apart from Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, the Delhi government also runs a scheme to provide grants for the marriage of daughters. Under the Balika Vivaah Yojana in Delhi, the government provides financial assistance of Rs. 30000 for the marriage of a daughter.
Any economically weak family can apply to avail the benefits of this scheme. People from all categories like Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes, and Minority category can apply under the scheme.
