Vaccine manufacturer AstraZeneca has recently admitted in a British court that its vaccine can cause a problem called thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS) in rare situations. TTS is a blood clotting problem that increases the risk of heart attack and brain stroke. Although health experts say that such side effects caused by the vaccine are quite rare, one person in 10 lakh may be at risk.
According to media reports, just days after the company accepted the side effects caused by the vaccine, a family in India is also preparing to go to court against the Serum Institute. A woman named Karunya reportedly died after taking the vaccine in July 2021. The family members say that the death was due to taking the vaccine, for which they have decided to go to court against the Serum Institute.
Reports of side effects of the Covishield vaccine surfaced
It is noteworthy that Serum Institute is the manufacturer of the Covishield vaccine in the country. The victim's father Venugopalan Govindan is now moving court seeking compensation and the appointment of an independent medical board to investigate his daughter's death. Govindan said the admission by British-Swedish firm AstraZeneca came too late and after so many lives had been lost. The vaccine is also responsible for my daughter's death.

There is fear among people about the vaccine after AstraZeneca admitted the side effects. However, health experts say that side effects of the vaccine are quite rare. Side effects of the vaccine are seen within a few days of receiving it. More than two years have passed since most of the people in the country took the vaccine, and the side effects of medicines and vaccines occur immediately after so much time has passed, people do not need to be afraid.
