Ingredients for making Kesar Phirni-

Rice - 2 cups

Milk - 1 liter

Pistachios chopped - 1 teaspoon

Cashew pieces - 1 teaspoon

Green cardamom crushed - half teaspoon

Saffron - 20 to 25 strands

Sugar - half cup

Method to make Kesar Phirni-

1. To make Kesar Phirni, first you have to clean the rice. Then wash them and soak them in water for half an hour. After a while remove the water from the rice. Now grind the rice coarsely in the mixer. After this, put milk in a pan and let it heat on medium flame. After the milk starts boiling, put the ground rice in it. Now stir it well and cook.

2. Let the rice cook in the second step and slow down the gas. Now add chopped cashew pieces and sugar as per taste. Keep stirring this phirni continuously till it becomes thick. After boiling for 15 minutes, add saffron strands to it.

3. Now stir the phirni while mixing it well with a big spoon. Let it cook well and turn off the gas. Now finally add crushed cardamom to the saffron phirni. You can also put pistachios on top if you want. Your Tasty Kesar Phirni is ready. Serve it hot. If you want, you can eat it after keeping it in the fridge for an hour.
