Method of making Chyawanprash
Making Chyawanprash at home is quite easy. For this, first, wash the Amla thoroughly and cut it into small pieces. Boil them in 1 liter of water until they become soft. After boiling properly, filter the water and grind the Amlas in a mixer to make a paste.
After preparing the amla paste, add jaggery and some water to a pan and cook until it melts completely and becomes like syrup.
While it is melting, grind dry ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, and other spices separately. After this, heat the ghee in a separate pan. Add amla paste to it and fry on low flame for 10-15 minutes.
Now add jaggery syrup, spice mixture, and ground basil leaves and mix well. Cook this mixture on low flame while stirring continuously.
When it becomes thick like Chyavanprash, turn off the flame. Finally, when the mixture cools down, add honey and saffron to it and mix. Now you can store it in a glass bottle.
