Here's a simple recipe to make chocolate popcorn at home:

Ingredients:

1/2 cup popcorn kernels

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 cup chocolate chips (milk, dark, or semi-sweet)

1 tablespoon butter

Optional toppings: sprinkles, crushed nuts, mini marshmallows, etc.

Instructions:

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the popcorn kernels to the pot and cover it with a lid.

Shake the pot gently back and forth to prevent the kernels from burning. Continue shaking occasionally until the popping slows down. Once the popping stops, remove the pot from the heat.

Transfer the popped popcorn to a large bowl, being careful to remove any unpopped kernels.

In a microwave-safe bowl, add the chocolate chips and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

Pour the melted chocolate over the popcorn and use a spatula or wooden spoon to gently toss and coat the popcorn evenly with the chocolate.

If desired, sprinkle your favorite toppings such as sprinkles, crushed nuts, or mini marshmallows over the chocolate-coated popcorn and toss again to distribute the toppings.

Spread the chocolate popcorn onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, allowing it to cool and set at room temperature.

Once the chocolate has hardened, break the popcorn into smaller clusters or leave it as is for larger pieces.

Transfer the chocolate popcorn to an airtight container or serve it immediately for a delicious homemade treat.
