The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has said that there are many flaws in the Chrome browser which can prove to be dangerous for you. CERT-In, an agency working under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, has issued a high-level warning regarding the Chrome browser. The government has said that a specific version of Chrome has a security flaw that is present in both the Windows and Mac versions of Chrome.

CERT-In has said in its warning that by taking advantage of this flaw in Chrome, hackers can hack the system and steal personal information. Apart from this, by taking advantage of this flaw, malware can also be installed in the users' system.
Regarding Google Chrome, the agency has said that there are many flaws in it that can give control of your computer to hackers. With the help of these flaws, hackers can also know which payment APE is in your browser. In Chrome, these vulnerabilities are present in Prompts, Web Payment API, SwiftShader, Vulkan, Video and WebRTC. With the help of these flaws, hackers can also be tracked in real time.

According to CERT-In, there is a flaw in 115.0.5790.170 and earlier versions of Google Chrome for Linux and Mac. On the other hand, 115.0.5790.170/.171 and earlier version of Chrome for Windows is dangerous. The agency has said that to avoid these flaws, update your Google Chrome browser with immediate effect.
How to update Google Chrome
Open the Chrome browser on your computer or laptop. Now click on the three dots appearing on the right side. After that click on the Help button below and then go to About Google Chrome. From here you can update your Chrome and also know its latest version.
