Aadhaar card is issued to the citizens of India by the Unique Identification Authority of India i.e. UIDAI. This Aadhaar card is useful for many of your purposes, including getting a SIM card or joining a government scheme. Apart from this, from opening an account in a bank to getting the subsidy under the scheme, etc. You need an Aadhaar card for many other such works, but have you got your Aadhaar card updated? If not, then get this work done immediately because its last date is very near. You can learn about this in the next slides...

If your Aadhaar card is 10 years old, then under the rules, you will have to get your Aadhaar card updated. At present, this work is being done for free through the official website, whose last date is 14 December 2024. So get this work done soon.

This is how you can update your Aadhaar:-
Step 1

If you have not updated your Aadhaar card yet, then for this you have to go to the official website of UIDAI uidai.gov.in/en
Here you will get the option of 'Update Aadhaar' in which you have to enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number.

Step 2
Now an OTP will come on your registered mobile number
You have to enter this OTP here and then login
Then you have to choose the option to update the documents
Now you have to get your documents verified

Step 3
Now you have to come down and update the scanned copy of your identity card and address proof.
Then you have to click on the submit button.
After this your form will be submitted and you will get a request number from which you will be able to check the status of your Aadhaar update.
