Career In LAW: There are many options available for youth who dream of making a career in the field of law. The Bar Council of India grants a "Certificate of Practice" to the candidates after completing LLB. To practice the profession of law and obtain certification, candidates are required to qualify for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE). Students who wish to study law from foreign universities/institutions can apply for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). Some private and autonomous universities conduct their entrance examinations. Students can do a law course in 12th with any stream (Science stream/Commerce stream/Arts stream).
Eligibility-
To study law, one must have passed (10+2) or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks. Only then can you apply to study law at the undergraduate level?
Eligibility for PG Law-
For admission to the LLM course, candidates must have an LLB or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
Eligibility for Doctoral courses-
For PhD in Law, candidates must have a Master's degree with not less than 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. To get a seat in a PhD course, they have to appear for an interview in the Research Entrance Examination conducted by the university.
Admission process -
Students can be admission to this course based on merit and also through entrance examination. Some institutes admit students to the course based on 12th marks, while there are some institutes that examine admission to the course.
