Why does hair fall during pregnancy?
Dr Nancy Nagpal says that we call this problem of hair fall telogen effluvium. This usually happens to 40 to 50 percent of women. This is a temporary phase. In this phase, our hair follicles become in the resting phase. This condition is not very serious. In some cases, excessive hair loss results in patches. This problem occurs in pregnant women due to a deficiency of minerals and vitamins. Apart from this, the estrogen hormones of women increase during this period due to which the problem of hair fall increases.
At the same time, experts also say that due to ups and downs in this hormone, the hair of many women also grows during pregnancy. But as soon as delivery occurs and the hormones become normal, hair fall starts. However, after a few days, all these problems were cured. This is a temporary phase.
