Passkeys are being used by many companies in the world and are being provided to their users. Google and Meta are also encouraging their users for this. Now in this series, news has come that passkeys support is going to be available in WhatsApp soon. Although Meta introduced Passkeys for Android users only last year, now it is being released for iPhone users.

The new update will be only for the app. WABetaInfo has said in one of its reports that WhatsApp is working on a new security feature passkey. A screenshot of iOS beta version 24.2.10.73 has also been revealed in the report.

For your information, let us tell you that passkey is a security feature that makes the login process more secure. Usually, a 6-digit code is required to log in to the account on an unknown device. After this code, Face ID, Touch ID, and device passcode will be required.

After the introduction of the Passkey feature, 6 6-digit code will not be required to log in every time. Passkeys has been developed by the FIDO Alliance with the help of Google, Apple, and Microsoft.

After using Passkeys, there will be no need for a passcode or password every time, rather you will be able to login directly through the Face ID or fingerprint sensor used in the phone. However, users will have the freedom to use Passkeys or keep it optional.
