If you do not drink enough water, your hair can become lifeless, dry and break easily. Dehydration has a direct effect on the scalp. When there is a lack of water in the body, the scalp can become dry, flaky and itchy. This can promote problems like dandruff, which can contribute to hair loss if left untreated.   • To avoid dehydration, drink 8 to 10 glasses of water daily.

  • If you don't feel good drinking plain water then you can drink fresh fruit juice.
  • Even if you don't feel thirsty, you can set an alarm and drink water at intervals of a few hours.
