Cheese is a popular dairy product which has been used for centuries, its creamy texture and delicious taste attracts everyone. Nowadays the trend of cheese slices has increased a lot. People from children to young age group like to eat it by putting it in bread and sandwiches, but many studies have revealed that cheese slices are not good for our health. Let us know from India's famous nutritionist Nikhil Vats what problems can arise by eating it.

Disadvantages of cheese slices

1. High sodium food
The most worrying thing about cheese slices is that it contains a lot of sodium which creates the risk of high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart attack and stroke. Just one cheese slice can contain up to 200 mg of sodium.

2. Artificial ingredients
Cheese slices are known for their smooth, plain texture, but to achieve this, emulsifiers, stabilizers and artificial colors need to be added. These additives can have serious health consequences, including digestive problems and allergies in some individuals.

3. Processed fats
Cheese slices often contain processed fats that are considered less healthy than the naturally occurring fats in cheese. These can contribute to weight gain and greatly increase the risk of diseases like type 2 diabetes.

4. Lack of nutrients
Compared to natural cheese, cheese slices lack many nutrients. They contain less important compounds like vitamins, minerals and probiotics. Even if you eat it thinking it is healthy, you will have to bear the loss.

5. Harm to the environment
Cheese slices are often packaged in plastic, which contributes to the deli waste. This raises concerns that it increases swill pollution. Chemicals present in its packaging can enter the cheese, which also causes harm to health.
