In the last few years, the trend of using vegan skin care products has increased significantly. Today people not only make their diet vegan, but also make their entire lifestyle vegan. Due to this, they follow a vegan skincare routine to take care of their skin.

Surely this not only gives you clean, clear and beautiful skin, but you also become more aware of your environment. However, when following a vegan skincare routine, it is important to be extra careful about your products and ingredients. Your ingredients should be natural and plant-based.

Many times we unknowingly use some skincare ingredients which are not vegan. Due to this, the skincare routine gets disturbed. So, today in this article we are telling you which ingredients you should not include while following a vegan skincare routine-

Honey

It is very common to use honey in a skincare routine. But if you are following a vegan skincare routine then you should avoid honey. Even though honey moisturizes your skin, it comes from bees. It would be better if you consider using aloe vera, jojoba oil or argan oil instead of honey.

Gelatin

Gelatin is often included in many beauty products. Many times we use gelatin while making beauty products at home. But it really shouldn't be included in a vegan skincare routine. This translucent and colourless ingredient is derived from collagen taken from animal body parts. Therefore, it is prohibited from being used in vegan skincare routines.

Glycerine

Glycerine is considered an excellent moisturizer. Glycerine is generally used in skin and hair care routine. But it should not be used in a vegan skincare routine. It is extracted from animal fat. In such a situation, it should not be a part of the vegan skincare routine.

Dairy products

Sometimes, while taking care of our skin, we make face masks from milk, curd and cream. These masks not only moisturize the skin extra but also make it glowing. But dairy products come from animals, so their inclusion in vegan skin care routines should be avoided.

Retinol

Retinol is considered very good for the skin. Usually, it is included in many beauty products. It is very helpful in removing pigmentation and discolouration. Not only this, it is also considered an excellent anti-aging ingredient and with its use, wrinkles etc. can be removed. But retinol is animal-derived vitamin A, which is why it can't be a part of your vegan skincare routine.

So now if you are also following a vegan skin care routine then stay away from these ingredients.
