Here's a simple recipe for preparing instant Moong Dal Toast, which makes for a delicious and nutritious breakfast option:

Ingredients:

1 cup yellow moong dal (split yellow lentils)

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 small tomato, finely chopped

1 green chili, finely chopped (adjust according to your spice preference)

2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves, chopped

1/2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste

1/2 teaspoon cumin powder

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

Salt to taste

Oil or ghee for toasting

Instructions:

Wash the moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water for about 2 hours. After soaking, drain the water completely.

In a blender or food processor, grind the soaked moong dal to a coarse paste. Do not add water while grinding; the dal should be dry and coarse in texture.

Transfer the ground moong dal to a mixing bowl. Add chopped onions, tomatoes, green chili, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, turmeric powder, fresh coriander leaves, and salt. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.

Heat a tawa or a non-stick pan on medium heat and grease it lightly with oil or ghee.

Take a spoonful of the moong dal mixture and spread it on the tawa to form a circular toast shape. Ensure that it is evenly spread and not too thick.

Drizzle a little oil or ghee around the edges of the toast and let it cook on medium heat until the bottom side turns golden brown and crisp.

Flip the toast gently using a spatula and cook the other side until it is cooked through and crispy.

Repeat the process with the remaining moong dal mixture to make more toasts.

Serve the Moong Dal Toast hot with mint chutney, ketchup, or any other dip of your choice.
