Ingredients to make Masala Dalia
-Porridge 2 bowls
-Half a cup finely chopped carrots
-Half cup finely chopped onion
-Beans half cup finely chopped
- Half a cup finely chopped cabbage
-Potato cut into 2 cubes
-finely chopped green chilies
-4 spoons ghee
-Coriander powder 3 spoons
-Cumin powder 1 teaspoon
-Asafoetida 2 pinches
-Salt as per taste
-One each cinnamon, cardamom, black cardamom
-one spoon of cumin
-Half teaspoon garam masala powder
-Kashmiri red chili powder
How to make Masala Dalia
First of all, put the pressure cooker on gas and let it heat. Now add dry porridge into it and roast it until the aroma starts coming out. Now take it out in a plate and keep it. Now add oil or ghee to the pressure cooker and when hot, add dry garam masala and asafoetida.
Now when it is roasted, add onion to it and fry. Once lightly roasted, add all the dry spices and fry. Now add potatoes, carrots, beans, peas, cabbage, etc., and add salt. Add a little water as per requirement so that the spices do not burn. Now add porridge and mix well.
Now add 4 bowls of water to two bowls of porridge and put the lid on the pressure cooker. Let it cook on medium flame. As soon as it gives 2 whistles, turn off the gas and wait for the whistle to go out. Masala porridge is ready. You can add mushrooms, cheese, etc. as per taste. Once the pressure is released, add coriander leaves and serve hot. You can serve curd or buttermilk with it.
