Taking major action in India, Google has removed 10 Indian apps from its Play Store. Google has taken this action regarding the fee dispute. Google said in a statement that the developers of these apps were not following the billing policy. They were warned many times and after that, this action was taken.

Which apps are included?
The apps which Google has removed from the Play Store include the names of apps like Shaadi.com, Matrimony.com, Bharat Matrimony, Naukri.com, 99acres, Kuku FM, Stage, Alt Balaji’s (Altt), QuackQuack. The name of one app has not been revealed yet.

Google said that more than two lakh Indian developers are using Google Play Store and their apps are published on Play Store. There is a single policy for all developers but some developers are not ready to accept it. Google has even said that the apps which have been removed from the Play Store are following the policies of other app stores but they have problems with Google's policy.

According to Google, it had also given three years' time to these apps. Let us tell you that the fee dispute has been going on for a long time. An appeal was also made in the Supreme Court regarding this, but on 9 February 2024, the Supreme Court refused to interfere in this matter. Google said that in three years no court has raised questions about its fee policy. Despite this, some developers are not accepting the policy.

Google gave options
Google has said that developers can take payment for their paid content from any app store other than Google Play Store or can take payment from their own site, but if there is an app on Google Play Store and it is paid. If it is providing service then Google will have to pay money.
