Many revolutionary changes have come in the country due to the arrival of the Aadhar card. Today, due to the Aadhar card, the benefits of various government schemes are reaching directly to the accounts of the beneficiaries. Due to this, the Aadhar card has become a very important document. Along the same lines, the government has taken many big steps in Budget 2024 regarding land reform in rural and urban areas. Under this, a proposal has been made for a unique identification number or say Bhu-Aadhaar for land in rural areas. Apart from this, digitization of urban land records has also been proposed. The government will provide financial assistance to the state government to achieve this target in the next three years. Land-related disputes will also end with Bhu-Aadhaar and ownership rights will also be clear. In this episode, let us know what is Bhu-Aadhaar?

Under Bhu-Aadhaar, all the land in rural areas will get a 14-digit unique identification number. In this process, mapping, survey, ownership, and registration of farmers will be done along with the land identification number.

This step of the government will make it easier for farmers to get agricultural loans. Apart from this, they will also be able to get other agricultural facilities easily. On the other hand, the land records of the lands in urban areas will be digitalized with GIS mapping.

This is how Bhu-Aadhaar works

In this, the land is first geotagged with the help of GPS technology. After this, the surveyors do physical verification and measurement of the boundary of the land.

After doing this, the record that is collected is entered into the land record management system. After this, the system automatically generates a 14-digit Bhu-Aadhaar number for the land plot. This Bhu-Aadhaar number is linked to the digital record.
