Consuming bhang chutney can aid digestion and has stress-relieving properties. The special thing is that the hemp seeds used do not contain any intoxicants, making them safe to eat. Here's how you can make this delicious chutney at home.

Ingredients:

2 dried red chillies

2 teaspoons cumin seeds

1 cup hemp seeds

2-3 garlic cloves

Fresh mint leaves

Fresh coriander leaves

Lemon juice

Salt to taste

Water

Method:

To make the hemp chutney, first roast the cumin seeds, red chillies and hemp seeds in a pan. Once you start smelling the aroma, you will know they are properly roasted. First, peel the garlic and grind it on a traditional grinding stone, followed by grinding the roasted spices. Be careful while grinding the chillies as they can cause a burning sensation. Next, grind the mint and coriander leaves. Add water gradually as needed, but do not add too much, as this can make the chutney too thin. Finally, add lemon juice and salt. Your delicious hemp chutney is now ready! Some people like to temper the chutney – simply heat ghee, break the dried red chillies in it and pour it over the chutney. You can also make this chutney in large quantity and store it in the refrigerator for later use.
