Bandipur National Park
If you are a nature lover, then you can make up your mind to visit Bandipur National Park. Bandipur National Park has an area of 874 square kilometres and is home to a large number of elephants, tigers and other small animals as well as a variety of bird species, such as the green pigeon and the peacock. Bandipur National Park was once a private hunting ground of the Maharajas of Mysore. In 1931 it was renamed VenugopalaWildleaf Sanctuary. Later its name was changed to Bandipur National Park.
VibhutiMalaiMurugan Temple
If you want to get spiritual peace along with nature at this hill station, then you can visit VibhutiMalaiMurugan Temple. This temple is situated in the Vibhuti Hills in Nilgiri Mountains. A hike or a local jeep will take you to this beautiful hill temple. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of the Nilgiri Mountains from here. The annual festival of Thaipuya in this temple is celebrated on a large scale in the temple.
Theppakadu Elephant Camp
This place is most popular in Masinagudi. The Theppakadu Elephant Camp, established in 1972, houses several elephants, who are fed and bathed daily. Moyar River
Moyar River is between Mudumalai National Park and Bandipur National Park. It is a source of water for animals and birds, so tourists visiting here can see these animals and birds as well. Siriyur Amman Temple
Siriyur is a beautiful village near Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. The Siriyoor Amman temple located here is visited by the local people as well as tourists. An annual festival is organized here and during this time thousands of people from Ooty and Masinagudi and nearby areas come. During the festival months of February and March, the Siriyoor Amman Temple hosts several special prayers and offerings.
