Hisar is an important city in the state of Haryana. It has a wide history and now it is one of the fast-growing cities. The remains and traces of pre-Harappan civilization and Harappan civilizations are seen here. Agroha Dham

AgrohaDham is a spiritual place and it is dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi. The idol of Goddess Saraswati is enshrined here. There is a big pond here called Shakti Sarovar. The unique feature of this pond is that it contains water from 41 holy rivers of India. Devotees from far and wide come to this place to pray to the goddess and also take a dip in this holy lake. It is believed that those who take a bath in this pool are absolved of all sins.

Firoz Shah Complex

Firoz Shah Tughlaq, the Sultan of Delhi, built this fort in 1354 AD. This fort was the first building after the establishment of Hisar in 1354. There were four gates inside this fort, Delhi Gate, Nagori Gate, Talagi Gate and Mori Gate. There is also Latki Masjid and an underground cellar inside the fort which is the main attraction of this place.

Gujari Mahal

The Gujri Mahal was built by Firoz Shah Tughlaq for his Gujri Rani who belonged to the Gujjar caste. Like the Taj Mahal, this place is also built on the foundation of love. It is said that once the king was on a hunting trip and saw a Gurjar girl and was captivated by her beauty. The king wanted to take her to Delhi after marriage but she didn't want to leave Hisar, so he built this square-shaped palace in Hisar for his beloved queen. Today people come from far and wide to see this palace.

Jahaj Kothi Museum

Hisar has set up its first historical museum at JahajKothi. JahazKothi is an ancient ship-shaped building located in the Feroz Shah Complex. It was originally a Jain temple which later became the residence of George Thomas and James Skinner. The Zonal Museum has a collection of Jain artefacts and inscription stones of George Thomas. It is a very beautiful place, but now a little more effort is needed to make it a major tourist attraction of Hisar.

Blue bird Lake

The only lake in Hisar is situated near Hisar Airport on NH 10. The lake and its surrounding park area are spread over 52 acres. This beautiful lake itself occupies 20 acres. It has a small island nearby which is a great spot for migratory birds and other flora and fauna. More than 1000 white ducks live on Blue Bird Lake. The lake has fishing facilities and boating facilities. It is one of the best places to visit in Hisar for couples, school tours and family relaxation.
