The West Bengal School Service Commission has published the merit list of over 14,000 names for the recruitment of teachers at the upper primary level.
The West Bengal School Service Commission on Wednesday published a merit list of over 14,000 names for the recruitment of teachers at the upper primary level following an order of the Calcutta High Court. SSC Chairman Siddhartha Majumdar told reporters that the 'counselling' process will be started for the recruitment of these candidates before Durga Puja next month.
These candidates had appeared in the State Level Selection Test (SLST) conducted by SSC in 2016 for appointment to the post of teachers in upper primary level schools. The interview list was published on 24 August 2019 and the merit list on 4 October of the same year.
Later, the High Court had cancelled the entire process due to irregularities and had directed the SSC to conduct the process afresh by following the rules.
