The festive season has started. Durga Puja and Dussehra will be celebrated in the coming 11 days of October. On this occasion, there are bank holidays on different days in different states. Banks will remain closed in many states on Durga Puja till the 25th, 26th, and 27th of October.

According to the bank holidays calendar released by RBI, the Dussehra holiday is on the 23rd and 24th of October. Apart from this, banks will also remain closed for the remaining ten days of October on Lakshmi Puja and the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Let us know on which days the banks will be closed apart from Saturday and Sunday in the month of October. Banks will remain closed for eight days in the remaining 11 days of October (between October 21 and 31).

Bank holidays on festivals are as follows-
October 21: (Saturday) – Durga Puja (Maha Saptami) – Bank closed in Tripura, Assam, Manipur and Bengal.
October 23: (Monday) - Dussehra (Mahanavami) / Ayudha Puja / Durga Puja / Vijay Dashami - Bank closed in Tripura, Karnataka, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Kanpur, Kerala, Jharkhand, Bihar.
October 24: (Tuesday) – Dussehra/Dussehra (Vijayadashami)/Durga Puja – Banks closed in all states except Andhra Pradesh, Manipur.
October 25: (Wednesday) – Durga Puja (Dassain) – Bank closed in Sikkim.
October 26: (Thursday) - Durga Puja (Dassain) / Merger Day - Banks closed in Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir.
27 October: (Friday) – Durga Puja (Dasain) – Bank closed in Sikkim.
28 October: (Saturday) – Lakshmi Puja – Bank closed in Bengal.
31 October: (Tuesday) - Birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel - Bank closed in Gujarat.
