Bajre Ki Khichdi Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Bajra
  • 1 cup,
  • Carrot chopped - 1/2 cup,
  • Beans - 1/2 cup,
  • Peas - 1/2 cup,
  • Green washed moong dal - 1/2 cup,
  • Onion - 1/2 cup,
  • Turmeric - 1/4 Tbsp,
  • Salt - 1 Tbsp,
  • Cumin - 1 Tbsp,
  • Red Chilli - 1 Tbsp,
  • Oil - 1 Tbsp

Wash and soak moong dal for half an hour.

Wash the millet and keep it soaked in water for an hour.

- Add a tablespoon of oil to the pressure cooker. After this add cumin seeds and splutter.

Add chopped onions and cook on low flame. When the onions turn golden, add carrots to them. Now add chopped beans and peas. Mix well.

After it is lightly cooked, add moong dal along with its water. Now put the water along with the millet in the pressure cooker. Let it boil for a while.

After this, add 1 tablespoon of salt, red chili, and turmeric powder to it.

If you want the khichdi to be a little thin, then add more water to it. Let the pressure cooker take three to four whistles.

When the gas goes out, take it out on a plate. Pour ghee on top and serve hot bajra khichdi with curd.
