When you think of joining any government scheme, first of all, you have to see the eligibility list of that scheme. This is because if you are not eligible, then you cannot join that plan. For example, take Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-Mukhyamantri Yojana only. This is a health scheme, under which eligible people are given free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. This is the eligibility list of the scheme:-
People who live in rural areas
Those who work in the unorganized sector
People who work as daily wage laborers
People who come from Scheduled Caste or Tribe.
People who are destitute or tribal
Who has a disabled person in his family etc.

Can a private employee join the scheme?
If we talk about a person working in a private job, then if you are a member of PF (PF money is deducted from your salary every month and deposited in your PF account) or your ESIC card has been made, then your Ayushman card cannot be made.
Whereas, if you work in an unorganized sector. If you do not get the facility of PF, then as per the eligibility list, you are considered eligible to get an Ayushman card made.

People working in the organized sector
People who are members of PF
People who are taking benefits of ESIC
Who has a government job
People who pay taxes etc.
