Jharkhand is a state in India, bounded by Bihar in the north, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in the west, West Bengal in the east and Odisha in the south. It was formed on 15 November 2000. Earlier Jharkhand was a part of Bihar state, later it got the status of a separate state.

Only waterfalls exist
Jharkhand is a very beautiful state and many waterfalls are present here. Among these Hundru Falls, Dasham Falls, Jonha Falls and Hirni Falls etc. are quite popular and often tourists like to come and spend time here. Even Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, is also called the City of Waterfalls. There are many very beautiful waterfalls in the surrounding areas of Jharkhand.
There are dense forests in the state
The natural beauty of this state is unique. Dense forests are present here, which cover about 29% of its land area. These forests are known for their biodiversity and are home to many animal species ranging from Indian elephants to tigers and sloth bears.
Home to many tribes
Jharkhand is home to a wide variety of tribal communities. More than 30 different tribes reside in this state. Major tribes include the Santhals, Mundas, Oraons, Kharias and Bhumijs. Parasnath Hill is a very important
The highest mountain peak of Jharkhand is Parasnath Hill. It is considered a holy pilgrimage place for Jains. It is his biggest pilgrimage. It is also known as SammedShikhar. It is believed that 20 of the 24 Jain Tirthankaras attained nirvana at this place.
Birthplace of Birsa Munda
Jharkhand is also the birthplace of the great tribal leader Birsa Munda. Born in Jharkhand, Birsa Munda was a freedom fighter. He played an important role in the tribal movement against British rule and fought for the rights and welfare of the tribal communities. People in the state worship him as a folk hero.
Popular as an education hub
Jharkhand may be known for its natural beauty. There may be many waterfalls and forests here or there may be a large number of tribes living here, but still, it is not at all backward in terms of education. Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, has been an important educational centre. Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Ranchi and many other educational centres are present here.
