What is Alia saying?

Alia, like any new mother, admits that there is a lot of pressure on a new mother. In an interview given to a magazine, Alia mentioned that she still feels guilty. As a mother, she worries whether she is giving enough time to her daughter. Is she managing things properly between work and her daughter? Alia also stressed the fact that there is a lot of pressure from society on the new mother. Even today many people think that if a woman has become a mother then she should forget her career. There is a lot of pressure on a mother and because of this many times, she starts feeling guilty even when she has done nothing wrong.

Why was there a need to seek therapy?

Alia told during this interview that after becoming a mother, the challenges have increased for her. She also keeps on worrying about whether she can manage things properly or not. Often, even when everything is fine, she starts worrying about her daughter Raha. She admitted that she is also feeling the pressure of society's judgement. Alia also said, "During this time, I want to strengthen my mental health.) it is very important. Now I go to therapy every week. During therapy, I open up about all the fears I have about motherhood and that is what has given me the strength to fight through it all. It is helping me to understand that this journey is not something that I will understand in five or ten days, it is something that will always evolve and there is something new to learn every day."
