The department suspects that all these mobile numbers have been taken based on fake or fake documents. Apart from this, the department also suspects that the SIM is in someone else's name and is being used by someone else.
For this, the Telecom Department has given 60 days to mobile companies. It has been clearly stated by the department that if the investigation of these numbers is not completed within 60 days, then they will be closed.
The number of frauds committed through fake mobile numbers has increased significantly in the country. People are being cheated every day and after investigation, it is revealed that the person in whose name the SIM card is is not aware of that SIM.
According to the report, these 6 lakh numbers have been identified by the Telecom Department with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI). For your information, let us tell you that recently the Telecom Department has stopped more than 1.7 crore fake mobile connections and about 0.19 lakh mobile numbers involved in the cyber crime have been blocked. Under a campaign, about 1.34 billion mobile connections have been checked so far. Now it would be better that you get KYC of your number, lest you are using the SIM in someone else's name.
