Akshaya Tritiya 2023: Akshaya Tritiya has great importance in Hinduism. It is a day when you do not need to observe a Muhurta to do any auspicious work. According to the Hindu calendar, this festival is celebrated on Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. This year, the festival of Akshaya Tritiya will be celebrated with great pomp on 22 April. Let us know about those 5 big reasons due to which this festival is so auspicious.

- On Akshaya Tritiya Lord Parshuram, an incarnation of Sri Hari Vishnu was born. He blessed the earth by taking birth in the house of sage Jamadagni and mother Renuka. Lord Parshuram is immortal and he is worshiped on this day.

- Mother Ganga came to earth from heaven on Akshaya Tritiya itself. King Bhagirath performed severe penance for thousands of years and brought Ganga to earth by the grace of Shiva for the salvation of his ancestors. On this day, by taking a dip in the holy and pure Ganges, the sins of man are destroyed.

- According to the Hindu religion, Mother Annapurna, who resides in the kitchen, was also born on this day. That's why there is a law to feed the poor on this day by storing food. Whoever worships Mata Annapurna on this day, there is no shortage of money and grains in his house.

- On the day of Akshaya Tritiya, Maharishi Vedvyas, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, started writing the Mahabharata. Mahabharata has been given the noun of the fifth Veda. The Bhagavad Gita is also included in this Mahabharata. That's why the 18th chapter of Gita should be recited on this day.

- On the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya, Yudhishthira, the eldest brother of the Pandavas, received Akshaya Patra. Its specialty was that it never ran out of food. That's why from this day the farmers start plowing the fields lying vacant after the Rabi crop.
