- Ice
Method to prepare and use-
- Put ice in an ice bag.
- Close the bag.
- Place a cloth over your face. You should never apply ice directly to the skin.
- Now apply ice on your face till the skin gets relief.
- If you do not have a bag, you can also complete this process by adding ice to a wet towel.
- The cold compress reduces blood flow to the swollen area. Hence it can help in reducing the problem of rashes.
Oatmeal
Oatmeal is nothing less than a boon for the skin. That's why oatmeal is used for everything from keeping the skin clean to healing. Oatmeal comes in handy to deal with problems ranging from eczema to irritation. Similarly, if you have rashes on your face due to the colour of Holi, then use oatmeal.
Ingredients required-
- Oats
- lukewarm water
Method to prepare and use-
- First of all, make the water lukewarm.
- Add 1 cup of oats to the water.
- Now soak your body in this water for half an hour.
- Then take a good bath with lukewarm water.
- Anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidants are found in oatmeal, which gives relief from the problem of itching, roughness and dryness. Along with this, it also helps in repairing the skin.
Keep these things in mind
- If you want that the colours of Holi to not spoil your skin, then you should follow the pre-skin care routine. Use a face pack on the face.
- Apply natural oils to your face, such as olive oil and coconut oil.
- Cleansing, toning and moisturizing are a must. All these three steps are necessary to keep the skin healthy.
- You should take care of your skin according to your skin type. If you have dry skin, use aloe vera gel. Whereas, to pamper oily skin, use tomato and sugar.
