In today's fast-paced life, it is not known when you will be surrounded by which disease. Due to our small negligence, not only colds and coughs but many other diseases can also catch us. Therefore, it becomes important to take care of yourself. To avoid spending too much on the treatment of these diseases, people take health insurance, but how will those who cannot fulfill their basic needs get themselves treated?
Keeping this in mind, the Government of India started the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Under this scheme, Ayushman cards of eligible people, after which you can avail of free treatment through this card, but do you know that if someone's Ayushman card breaks, then how will you get free treatment? Probably not, so let's know the rule related to this. Cardholders can learn about this in the next slides...
What is the process of free treatment?
If we talk about the process of free treatment, then the cardholder has to first see which hospital in his city is registered in this scheme. After this, you have to go to that hospital and meet the concerned officer at the Mitra Help Desk there. After this, the concerned officer takes your Ayushman card from you. Then this card is verified. Now when everything is found to be correct, the cardholder is given the benefit of a free treatment facility, the entire cost of which is borne by the government. What to do if the card is broken? If you are also an Ayushman card holder, but your card is broken or lost, then in such a situation, you do not need to worry. You have to go to the Mitra Help Desk in the hospital and tell your registered mobile number (the mobile number which is linked to the Ayushman card). After this, your identity is verified by the officer. As soon as things are verified, you can avail free treatment. If your Ayushman card is lost or broken and any registered hospital refuses to treat you, you can complain by calling the scheme's number 14555.
