An aadhaar card is one of the most important documents for us. UIDAI allows you to change certain details in your Aadhaar. This also includes your address. Now you will not need proof of address. Let's know about it.

The Aadhaar card is used as an identity card in India. Apart from this, it is also used in many governments' works. In such a situation, if you want to change some information in your Aadhaar, then UIDAI provides this facility. But the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is now allowing Indians to update addresses in their Aadhaar online with the consent of the head of their household.

Aadhaar will be updated with the help of the head of the household

UIDAI in an official statement said on Tuesday that it is now extending the facility to Aadhaar holders. With its help, you will not be needed without any certificate. For this, you will need the permission of the head of the family.

These documents will be necessary

For this, you can use documents like ration cards, mark sheets, marriage certificates, passports, etc. These can be used as proof of documents and a new process can be started. Be informed that this process requires OTP-based authentication by the HOF.

HOF-Based Online Address Update

In case proof of relationship document is not available, UIDAI gives the resident a self-declaration by the head in the format prescribed by UIDAI as per the statement. Explain that the HOF-based online address update in Aadhaar will be of great help to the relatives (children), spouses, parents, etc. of a resident who has no subsidiary in their name to update the address in their Aadhaar There are no documents.

  • With people moving to cities and towns within the country for different reasons, such a facility would be beneficial for lakhs of people. The new option to update the address is different from the earlier process prescribed by UIDAI, wherein any valid proof of address was used.
