Major Financial Relief for Women Under Lado Laxmi Scheme
In a significant welfare push, the Haryana government has released the sixth installment under the Lado Laxmi Yojana, bringing financial relief to lakhs of women across the state. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that over ₹203.28 crore has been directly transferred into the bank accounts of nearly 10 lakh beneficiaries.
This move is part of the state’s ongoing effort to strengthen financial support for women, pensioners, and economically weaker sections.
Total Disbursement Crosses ₹1,000 Crore
With the latest transfer, the total amount disbursed under the scheme has now crossed ₹1,038 crore across six installments. The government has also expanded the scheme’s reach by revising the income eligibility limit:
- Previous limit: ₹1 lakh annually
- New limit: ₹1.80 lakh annually
This change will allow more women to benefit from the scheme in the current financial year 2026–27.
Massive Transfers Across Multiple Welfare Schemes
Apart from the Lado Laxmi Yojana, the Haryana government has also disbursed funds under several other initiatives:
Social Security Pension Schemes
- ₹1,144.55 crore transferred
- Benefited over 35.55 lakh individuals
Dayalu Yojana
- Financial aid of ₹298.07 crore provided
- Covered 7,875 families
Support for SC Farmers
- Subsidy of ₹19.35 crore distributed
- Benefited 645 farmers for tractor purchases
- Subsidy of up to ₹3 lakh per tractor
₹1,665 Crore Transferred Across 18 Schemes
In total, the government transferred ₹1,665.25 crore directly into beneficiaries’ accounts under 18 different schemes. This reflects a strong focus on direct benefit transfer (DBT) to ensure transparency and quick delivery of funds.
MSP Payments and Agricultural Updates
The government also shared updates on agricultural procurement and payments:
- Mustard procurement:
- Arrival: 16,046 metric tonnes
- Purchase: 3,421 metric tonnes
- Payment: ₹4.94 crore at ₹6,200 per quintal (MSP)
- Wheat procurement:
- Payment of ₹13.09 crore at ₹2,585 per quintal (MSP)
These steps aim to support farmers with assured pricing and timely payments.
Big Boost in Minimum Wages for Workers
In another major announcement, the state has increased minimum wages across categories:
- Unskilled workers: ₹11,275 → ₹15,220
- Semi-skilled workers: ₹12,430 → ₹16,780
- Skilled workers: ₹13,704 → ₹18,500
- Highly skilled workers: ₹14,389 → ₹19,425
👉 Overall, wages have been increased by around 35%, offering significant relief to laborers amid rising living costs.
