IPL 2026, CSK and RCB: Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore have made major changes to their squads ahead of the 19th season of the IPL. Kuldeep Yadav has joined CSK.
Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru named Kuldeep Yadav and Richard Gleeson for the injured Khaleel Ahmed and Nuwan Thushara in IPL 2026. Kuldeep Yadav joins Chennai during IPL 2026, Bengaluru also makes a major change; he played before the playoffs.
IPL 2026 is slowly moving towards the playoffs. Two teams have been eliminated from the season. Now, the battle for a top-four spot is underway between eight teams. Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore have made significant changes to their squads. Kuldeep Yadav has joined Chennai mid-season. Bangalore has also made changes to its squad, with Richard Gleeson joining the franchise.
Chennai and Bangalore have announced replacements for the injured Khaleel Ahmed and Nuwan Thushara, respectively. An IPL release detailed these changes. Both players are out for the remainder of the season.
Kuldeep Yadav joins Chennai
Chennai has signed fast bowler Kuldeep Yadav as a replacement for Khalil. Kuldeep was previously part of the Rajasthan Royals and made his IPL debut for Rajasthan in 2021. He has played three matches in the tournament so far, taking two wickets in three innings. Chennai has signed Kuldeep for a fee of ₹30 lakh.

Richard Gleeson joins RCB
England fast bowler Richard Gleeson has been added to Bengaluru’s squad as a replacement for the injured Nuwan Thushara. Richard has played two matches in the IPL, two for Chennai Super Kings and one for Mumbai Indians. He made his IPL debut in 2024. The English bowler has taken two wickets in three matches in the tournament. He has joined Bengaluru for a price of ₹1.6 crore (₹1.6 crore).
Gleeson also plays T20 International cricket for England. He has played six matches in this format, taking nine wickets in six innings, with a best of 3/15 at an economy rate of 8.90. It will be interesting to see how he performs if he gets a chance to play for RCB.
