Kolhapur News: The condition of all the patients currently admitted in the hospital is said to be stable, and the rest have been discharged. The official confirmed that there has been no serious change in the health of the patients undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Food Poisoning: Sometimes food poisoning becomes so dangerous that it sends people to the hospital. In this episode, more than 250 people fell ill due to food poisoning at a fair organized in a village in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra. This incident happened on Tuesday in Shivanakawadi village, where 'kheer' was distributed as prasad during a religious fair. Police officials informed about this matter on Wednesday and said that the sick people had reached the hospital complaining of diarrhea and fever.
Due to food poisoning,
an officer of Kurundwad police station said that more than 50 people are undergoing treatment at Shirol hospital, but their condition is stable. All of them have claimed to have eaten kheer at the fair, although other food stalls were also set up at the fair. According to the officer, the number of people who fell ill due to food poisoning has increased to 255.
Complaints of diarrhea and fever
The official said that after the fair, many people started complaining of diarrhea and fever from Wednesday morning itself, and so far 255 people have been affected by this suspected food poisoning. Most people fell ill after eating kheer, but some were also associated with other food items.
