The School Education Department of Karnataka has invited applications for 900 positions as General Kannada teachers across the state. The official notification has been released. Selected candidates will be posted to teach students in classes 1 to 5 in primary schools in various educational districts.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have secured at least 50% marks in Pre-University Course (PUC) and must have passed the required Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the Karnataka State Government or Central Government.

As part of the academic eligibility requirements, candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in the Pre-University Course (PUC). Candidates must possess a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd), a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd), or a two-year Diploma in Education in Special Education.

Eligible exams include Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) and Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).

Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the prescribed academic and professional qualifications as well as the TET requirements.
