Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been named to Team India. Vaibhav Suryavanshi was described as a 'special talent'
In a statement to news agency PTI, Kapil Dev said, "He is a special talent, give him time, but he has shown his talent in a different way. I think he is incredible, but he will have to keep himself in the right place in Team India, keep himself fit, and there will be a lot of things."
'It would be wrong to expect too much.'
Kapil Dev further said, "Only he can answer how focused he is. But for me, he is a special talent. There is nothing wrong with respecting a young player, but it would be wrong to expect too much at this stage."
Legendary Kapil Dev further said, "Let him stay in the team, he will understand. Club cricket is completely different. When you play for your country, the thinking is different. Give him time. I would like to tell the media not to expect too much."
Vaibhav Suryavanshi made headlines with IPL
Vaibhav was acquired by Rajasthan Royals for ₹1.10 crore in the mega auction for the 2025 IPL. In his very first season, Vaibhav made headlines by scoring a century in 35 balls.
