'Pahalgam incident is government's fault'

On the video after the Pahalgam attack, Jyoti Malhotra says that whatever happened is our (tourists) fault. Whenever we go somewhere to visit, we should be alert and watchful. At the same time, she is blaming her government for the Pahalgam incident and saying that there were no proper security arrangements in Pahalgam.

On May 16, Haryana Police arrested Hisar YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra for allegedly passing on sensitive information to Pakistan's intelligence agency. Police said Malhotra runs a YouTube channel named 'Travel with Joe'. She has 3.77 lakh subscribers on her YouTube channel. A case has been registered against Malhotra under sections of the Official Secrets Act and BNS.

Was in contact with PAK even during Operation Sindoor

According to the FIR lodged at the Civil Lines police station in Hisar, Jyoti came in contact with Danish at the Pakistan High Commission in 2023, where she had gone to obtain a visa to visit the neighbouring country. Hisar Superintendent of Police Shashank Kumar Sawan had said on Sunday that Jyoti was allegedly in touch with Danish during the four-day military conflict between India and Pakistan after 'Operation Sindoor' and the Pakistani intelligence agency was grooming Malhotra as 'its contact'.
