- Narcissists try to put themselves at the center by cutting off others' conversations. Their self-esteem is so weak that they need external approval.

- A typical characteristic of a narcissist is that they ignore the pain or feelings of others. When you express your disappointment or sadness to them, they underestimate it. 

 

- Narcissists are good manipulators. They try to control you by making you feel guilty or playing with your mind. Gaslighting is a psychological process in which they try to make you believe that what you have experienced is not true.

- Sometimes they may try to punish you by remaining silent or try to portray themselves as a victim. This behaviour is a result of their insecure self-esteem.

- If you are in the limelight in a social setting, they feel jealous. For them, the experiences, thoughts and feelings of others are not as important as their own. The relationship becomes one-sided, in which only their needs are met, and your feelings are ignored.
