IREDA announces Q3 results, profit jumps over 37%; stock will be in focus on Monday

IREDA Q3 results: Navratna company Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency reported strong profits in the third quarter. Consequently, its shares will be in focus on Monday.

IREDA Q3 results: Navratna company Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) announced its third-quarter results on Friday. For the quarter ended December 31, 2025, the company's net profit increased by 37.5% compared to the same period last year, rising from ₹425.4 crore to ₹584.9 crore.

During this period, the company's revenue from operations increased by 38% to ₹2,140 crore, compared to ₹1,699 crore in the same period last year. Net interest income (NII) also improved, rising 34.8% to ₹897.5 crore, compared to ₹665.8 crore in Q3 FY25. 

How much profit is left after paying taxes?

During this period, the company's profit before tax (PBT) increased to ₹1,718 crore, up 17% from ₹1,474 crore in the same period last year. Meanwhile, profit after tax (PAT) stood at ₹1,381 crore, up 15% from ₹1,197 crore reported for the nine months ended December 2024. 

According to the company's investor presentation, IREDA's loan sanctions also increased by 29% year-on-year to ₹40,100 crore, compared to ₹31,087 crore in the same period last year. Meanwhile, loan disbursements jumped 44% year-on-year to ₹24,903 crore, compared to ₹17,236 crore in the nine-month period ended December 2024.

Significant improvement in the company's performance

Pradeep Kumar Das, CMD of the company, said, "IREDA's strong financial performance this quarter reflects our commitment to accelerating India's renewable energy transition. The jump in loan disbursements, net worth, and profitability reflects the confidence of our stakeholders."

The company's loan book grew 28% to ₹87,975 crore in Q3, up from ₹68,960 crore in the same quarter last year. Disbursements in the October-December period of FY25 increased 32% to ₹9,860 crore, up from ₹7,449 crore previously. Net worth increased 38% to ₹13,537 crore from ₹9,842 crore. 

Shares of India Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd closed at Rs 137.10 on BSE on Friday, down Rs 4.08 or 2.89 per cent.
