The 45th IPL match between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings was canceled. The match could not be completed due to rain in Lucknow and both the teams got one point each. Lucknow was captained by all-rounder Krunal Pandya.
Krunal Pandya has got the command of the team in place of the injured KL Rahul. For Krunal Pandya, the first innings as captain were forgettable, he could not open the account, and Krunal was caught by Mahish Teekshana at the hands of Ajinkya Rahane. After being dismissed for zero, an embarrassing record was added to Krunal's account. Krunal became the third player to be dismissed for zero in the captain's debut match in IPL.
In 2008, Deccan Chargers captain VVS Laxman was dismissed for zero against Kolkata. After Laxman, Sunrisers captain Eden Markram could not open the account against Lucknow this year.
