In Yashasvi's 1000th match of IPL, Jaiswal scored an inning of 124 runs against Mumbai Indians. This is the highest score by any batsman in IPL while playing for Rajasthan. Earlier, Butler had also played an innings of 124 runs.

Yashasvi's journey from selling Golgappas outside Mumbai's Azad Maidan to becoming a centurion in the IPL has been an exciting one. Yashasvi is a resident of Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. His childhood was spent in extreme poverty. At the age of 11, Yashasvi reached Mumbai to become a cricketer. Everything was not easy for him there. Used to sell Golgappas and fruits during Ram Leela at Azad Maidan to earn in Mumbai. He had to sleep empty stomach many times. Yashasvi also worked in a dairy. There one day he was fired from the job. During this, the club offered help to Yashasvi, but a condition was placed in front of him that he would be given a place to stay in the tent only if he played well. Yashasvi used to make bread in the tent. There they used to get food in the afternoon and at night.

Yashasvi also worked to find balls to earn money. The ball was often lost in Azad Maidan. Yashasvi used to get money for finding him. One day coach Jwala Singh caught sight of Yashasvi. Like Yashasvi, Jwala also hails from Uttar Pradesh. He groomed this left-handed batsman. Yashasvi always praises Jwala Singh. He once said, “I am his adopted son. He has played an important role in getting me to this point.


Shine from the Under-19 World Cup
Yashasvi created panic in domestic cricket by scoring a double century in the Youth ODI at the age of just 17. He performed brilliantly in the Under-19 World Cup in 2020. Yashasvi had scored a century and four half-centuries. He scored 400 runs in six innings of six matches. His average was 133.33. Yashasvi received the Man of the Tournament award in the Under-19 World Cup. He was praised all around.

Rajasthan expressed confidence in Yashasvi
Yashasvi was bought by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2020 auction for Rs 2.4 crore. He scored 40 runs in three matches in 2020 for Rajasthan. After this, in 2021, he scored 249 runs in 10 matches. Yashasvi was retained by Rajasthan ahead of the 2022 auction. He was not dropped from the team. It was a big deal for a young player. The franchise reposed faith in him. He was retained for Rs 4 crore. He scored 258 runs in 10 matches in the 2022 IPL. This season, he was in excellent form from the beginning and after doing wonders in domestic cricket, he has also scored a century in IPL.
