Delhi Capitals on Thursday (April 20) registered their first win in the ongoing IPL season at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Delhi defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by four wickets. Despite this victory, Sourav Ganguly, director of the Delhi Capitals franchise, is not happy. He introduced the class to the batsmen of the team. Ganguly said that we were lucky in this match.
After the match, Sourav Ganguly said, “We had luck today. We bowled well earlier this season as well, but the problem is the batting. We need to go back and look at ourselves. We need to see how we can be better. Spinners bowled well. I know we haven't played well and we need to find a way to bat better.
Ganguly expects players to return to form
Ganguly further said, “We will work hard with the boys and get them back in form. Be it Prithvi Shaw, Manish Pandey, or Mitchell Marsh. They have been important players for their respective teams for a long time. We have a day off tomorrow. Then we will fly to Hyderabad. Hopefully, there will be a good wicket to bat on, as it usually is.

The pressure of scoring his first point in IPL 2023 not only affected the player but also the management. For Ganguly, it was like scoring the first run in a Test match. Ganguly said, "I was sitting there in the dugout and thinking it was like my first Test run."
